Albatros Flugzeugwerke DVa

The Albatros DV was developed from the successful DIII, but a spate of structural failures involving the separation of the lower wing plagued the type, and the DVa soon followed, although it could not entirely correct its predecessor's issues.

Nevertheless, some 900 DV and over 1,600 DVa aircraft were built before the armistice, making this Albatros fighter one of the most numerous machines in the Luftstreitkräfte.
