Sopwith Pup

Introduced to both the RFC and RNAS in 1916, the Pup was popular with its pilots for her forgiving flight characteristics and agility in a fight - a quality that Capt (later AVM) Arthur Gould Lee credited with saving his life many times.

The Pup was involved in the very first Royal Navy trials aimed at developing aircraft carrier operations.
